givemeyourhonorFinished playing Paradise by Pil/Slash, and damn, that was a game that went places. Sometimes it verged on having a few too many squicks (I can tolerate things to an extent.)
I love Azuma so much . I love him as a decent, yet human and flawed person who is just trying to make it through this situation. A fun guy who had a hard life. I love how the good ends involve him realizing that he has to make his own future. His paradise.
Mitsugi's route is nearly perfection tbh. I love that the guy who is a complete dick to you in conversations ends up being the most decent one (that first incident aside.) He and Azuma are ride or die for each other
Matsuda is... well, you know. I don't think I'm bothered to the extent other people were, but I also wish things had been dug into a bit more during the good ending. But I also appreciate seeing someone fall apart to that extent.
Takara is amazing in such a weird way. I can see why the chemistry wasn't entirely there for some people, even though I found his and Azuma's interactions cute before the big reveal. That said, I also love the riding off into the sunset ending. It's so dumb that it works. And maybe Azuma will become his wife lmao.
Hongou, I want more of. And also to learn a little more about what was going on with him in a few of those ends during Mitsugi's route. I thought we were going to learn more during Takara's route, but oh well. I loved him before certain incidents happened and still feel some affection.
I also want more Shimada. I liked him before the thing happened (that was the most painful betrayal on Matsuda's route. Even more so than anything Matsuda did tbh.)
Over all though, there's a lot I've chewed on about this game as I played it, and I'm chomping at the bit for Musubi to come out. Would also like to see Kiwame even though I've seen complaints about the quality. But I like seeing characters in different circumstances than normal.
