Looking at the new trouble lines for Deuce, and I'm just thinking of my favorite shippy ones (at least in my head):

Adeuce: typical tsunderes

Cater/Deuce: telling him to stay cute awww

Jack/Deuce: two jocks on the same page.

Azul/Deuce: Azul thinking about how he can take this guy for everything he's worth.

Jade/Deuce: he wants to find out all your secrets now Deuce (this was such a pleasant surprise)

Floyd/Deuce: Floyd likes his bad boy side LMAO

Epel/Deuce: More bromance. This was good for us! omg. The communication

Idia/Deuce: Oh this is just hilarious to me. (also Idia would a hundred percent know exactly what trope deuce fits into.)

Malleus/Deuce: This is so cute. This is like when your loved one finally learns to program the vcr on their own.

Sebek/Deuce: okay not shippy, but I'm marveling at how mean Sebek is.

(I can ship almost anyone in this cast together, these just stood out.)

I was reminded of how much I love Malleus x Deuce. And I'm just thinking of like accidental dating nonsense.

Deuce doing something that Malleus takes as a courtship move and decides to go along with it because he's impressed by how much nerve Deuce has. Deuce is just clueless about this.

Or just as good, something happens and Malleus decides to take responsibility for Deuce aka we're getting married.

And hell, it could go the other way too. Maybe the Queendom of Roses has some weird, obscure tradition or law that means you have to get married. Like maybe if someone trips into you on the third full moon of the year while holding a flower bouquet that means you are now married/must get married (bonus points if this is the one obscure law Deuce remembered). And Deuce is freaked out because he doesn't have a job yet, how can he support a prince let alone himself, but damn it, he's going to take responsibility!

You could do this with other characters, but I'm in a MalDeu mood. Maybe I'll do something with this when I catch up on other fics including the one MalDeu fluff scenario I'm writing.
