Joy

Working on a new intro post to sticky since the old one is really messed up for some reason.

But hi, I'm Joy! I've been in fandom for decades now. My main fandom interests are animanga, video games, and books. Animanga-wise, I like a large variety of stuff, in particular, bl (it's my life). I also read a lot of Korean and Chinese comics and will work on a running list of those.

Video game-wise, I like jrpgs and casual simulation games, among a few other genres. I also play a few gacha games. My big games right now are Twisted Wonderland, Honkai Star Rail, and FFXIV, though I've cooled off a lot on the latter.

Books are once again a variety. I like reading m/m romance, fantasy, sci-fi, classic literature, and whatever makes it onto my Goodreads list. If it has a fun premise, or I feel like it would be engaging or worthwhile or I see a pretty cover while browsing it makes it onto my list.

While I do watch live-action shows, it's a lot more casual and related to the occasional movie or drama I find interesting.

I also love listening to podcasts because they're great while driving, cleaning, walking, or doing stretches. I mostly listen to DnD podcasts and audio dramas. Current favorites are The White Vault, Malevolent, Wooden Overcoats, Dungeons and Daddies and Skulltenders.

Fandom participation-wise, I participate in journal RP on Dreamwidth and write fanfic mainly posted on ao3. I also chat on Twitter, Bluesky, Plurk, and Tumblr. Twisted Wonderland is my big, big fandom right now. Deuce Spade is my favorite. I tend to sit with a strong favorite for a few years and my love is probably going to keep going strong until I move onto something else or twst does something to make me fall out of love.

I'm proship even though I don't use the term for myself. No moral judgment on people who ship things I don't care for or that have uncomfortable aspects. This is an anti-free zone. I would also rather not have minors following me since a lot of my fanfic has adult aspects to it. All that said, this isn't a discourse blog either, since I feel like too many people fall into a bad extreme with that. I might vent, but I don't want that to be my whole online experience.


Outside of fandom, I like cooking and baking. I also talk about whatever exercise routine I'm working on at the time. I work a full-time job and might vent about that occasionally as well as other typical things.

But I think that's about it for now.
