It always intrigues me how whenever someone makes a post about shipping, especially if it's some variation of "don't bully people for shipping something you don't like" or "people's ships don't make them bad people or immoral," someone always has to reply "Yes but-"

I don't want to use the word "virtue signaling" for lots of reasons, but it does feel like showing off how good and moral you are. And it's not even just on the proship posts. That post about how "enemies to lovers" has lost all meaning had people complaining about how you'd better not ship bully romance and I'm just like... bro. Please. Other than a few of your idiot friends, no one is impressed.

Some plans:

I'm hoping to either complete or mostly complete "All Plans Come Unraveled." I'm still not a hundred percent sure what the ending point is, other than that I do plan on it being a happy one. Like I've said elsewhere, it's taught me a lot, more so than any other fic save for "Together for Every Step" and that was a fandom or so ago.

-Want to join in for more of ficwip's challenges. Eyeing "Hey Sweet Heart" and the 5k again and maybe "The fic that haunts you." I don't want to stretch myself too thin, but I'm making good progress so far on my writing so it might be doable.

-I'm trying to write about 200 words a day/at least 70 minutes a week. It's easy enough to make up 200 words if I miss it and 70 minutes is at least 10 minutes a day. I'm also including fic editing in my time spent writing, since it's something I tended to put on the back burner for writing goals.

Sweet fic that re imagines how the tweels first befriended Azul. Jade slowly coaxes Azul out of his pot while discovering just what makes Azul so appealing.

Of Volts and Vipers by Oddberryshortcake-Sebek/Jamil (WIP).

Sebek asks Jamil out and the cutest and sweetest relationship ever develops. There are so many wonderful romantic moments along with some angst. Definitely worth the read.

The situation with Ao3 and other places like Twitter being so dodgy is really disheartening. I don't plan on stopping posting right now, but I am going to begin mirroring most of my fanfics here and at squidgeworld, so expect some updates and what I hope might be getting some more use out of this journal. Which I have to reorganize a lot. Like a lot. lmao.

...so that I am not one of those people who got a journal just to never use it, because I already did that on lj and it makes me sad, because I used to like journaling. But even though almost everyone who friended me is from amat/my plurk...

But over I all I hope this new year will be a good one, worries aside. I feel like moving over to dreamwidth will be a fresh start for me and I hope it is for others as well.
